Iyengar Yoga
Iyengar Yoga is a form of yoga using breath and alignment to create focus and awareness. It is named after and developed by B. K. S. Iyengar.
It has an emphasis on detail, precision, and alignment in the performance of yoga postures (asanas).
The style often makes use of props, such as belts, blocks, and blankets, as aids in performing the asanas. The props enable beginning students, the elderly, or those with physical limitations to perform the asanas correctly, minimizing the risk of injury or strain.
Students learn and progress through verbal instruction and observation of the teacher’s demonstrations and hands on correction.
General classes
General classes are adapted to different levels of practice by using different variations of the same poses.
Yoga For Intermediates
One year of general level classes if you started as a beginner, and you have already done shoulder stand practice, if in doubt ask Paula.
Pranayama
Pranayama is a class of 45 minutes of asanas and 45 minutes of breathing techniques, an amazing opportunity to calm down our central nervous system and connect with our own breath and our inner self.
